Poll time

Okay, RBlog readers -- I need your opinions. What color of shoes is best to wear with a navy blue suit? If it impacts your answer at all, the suit in question has pin-stripes.

If your answer to this question is not black or brown, then the second part of the question is this: Is it ever acceptable to wear black or brown shoes with a navy suit?

i would wear black, because i prefer black and i think they go better with a pinstriped suit, but brown (think cordovan, not chocolate) is also very acceptable and very common. but i usually see cordovan with solid navy suits.

When I picture a woman's navy pinstripe suit, I immediately picture a nice medium brown (like dark caramel, no idea what "cordovan" is) shoe.

I think navy pumps are nasty.

I actually think navy would be best, but if that's not possible--dark brown, definitely not black. Trust me, I worked in chichi women's retail for far too long.

brown. definitely brown. the darker the better, too.

i agree with inga, navy shoes are sick. unless you're TRYING to perect the airline stewardess look, which i doubt is the case.
